Dr. Jesin Zakaria

Dr. Jesin Zakaria is a distinguished AI and machine learning expert with more than 15 years of experience across academia and leading U.S. technology companies. A BUET graduate in Computer Science, she completed her PhD in Data Mining at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), producing research that has had a long-lasting global impact—including earning the prestigious SIGKDD Test of Time Award in 2022, one of the highest recognitions in data mining. Her career spans influential research and engineering roles at Teradata, Meta, VMware, and Microsoft, where she has worked on large-scale ML systems, advanced data platforms, and AI-driven innovations powering Microsoft 365 and Office 365—impacting the productivity and experience of billions of users worldwide.

Deeply committed to Bangladesh’s technological future, Jesin believes that world-class education, strong STEM foundations, and investment in emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and machine learning are essential for national progress.
