M Manjur Mahmud

M Manjur Mahmud is one of Bangladesh’s most accomplished technology leaders, known for shaping national-scale digital systems, building globally competitive software companies, and championing deep industry–academia collaboration. As the President of Datasoft Systems Bangladesh Limited—the country’s first CMMI Level 5 organization—he has led the company’s transformation into a global provider of high-reliability software, fintech solutions, logistics platforms, and large-scale government systems. He architected microfin360, the country’s first large-scale SaaS banking platform, which today serves more than 10.26 million customers across six languages with 99.99 percent uptime over a decade. His leadership has driven critical national infrastructure projects, including automation of Chittagong Port operations, digitization of the Dhaka and Chittagong customs houses, and modernization of land port processes. Beyond industry, he has contributed to the landmark Jute Genome Project, co-founded fintech ventures across Malaysia, Switzerland, and Africa, and serves as a director at BGIC, steering its digital modernization agenda.

A passionate ecosystem builder, Mr. Mahmud co-founded Data Science Bangladesh (DsB), launched Blockchain Circle, and actively supports platforms that strengthen Bangladesh’s IT talent pipeline. As an adjunct faculty member, he has taught at BUET, Jahangirnagar University, Harvard, KAIST, IIM-Calcutta, and Osaka University, with a focus on translating research into commercially viable innovation. He also founded Evexia, a health and wellness initiative. As a member of the MillionX Founding Council, he sees the movement as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to convert Bangladesh’s demographic potential into global leadership in the AI era. He aims to help nurture a million 10x minds by contributing his expertise in large-scale systems, talent development, and ecosystem-building to ensure Bangladesh leads—not follows—the global AI transformation.
